One reason that politicians like to lie is that they are involved with corruption. The Campaign Against Political Lying is intended as a way of cutting through all the fog and miasmas of corruption.

LAW AND ILLEGALITY
Law is an issue that sometimes removes access to truth. Lawyers hide behind their so called privileged status, and even in Parliament, legal officers refuse to answer questions because they insist on "legal privileged" The Campaign against Political Lying would insist that this privilege be removed from parliament and that lawyers also have to tell the truth on all substantive matters put to them through parliament, and can no longer rely on professional privilege so called, which appears to give people a license to not tell the truth.
